Vinesh Phogat made nation proud Once again a parent’s vision did the magic!

Wow! what a moment for the Vinesh Phogat. She becomes the first Indian woman wrestler to win a gold medal at Asian Games. She defeated Japan’s Yuki Irie in the 50kg weight category.
It’s a proud moment for entire nation and particularly the whole Phogat family. Main source of this pride is again Mahavir Singh Phogat. This man has devoted his life so that the nation could get this pride moment of winning the Gold.

It is the source of inspiration and hope to all the parents. All of us are struggling hard maintaining all spheres of our lives. On the same time we’re also trying hard to make our children achieve high in their lives. We thank Mahavir ji for setting such admiring examples.

A special thanks to the Dangal team for bringing this wonderful subject on the silver screen. It not only entertained us but also inspired many children particularly girls and their parents to set high aspirations and achieve them.

While watching the story of Phogat girls we notice the turning point in the Phogat sisters life. It was the moment when one of their friends was getting married to some aged person. In the conversation it was realised to Phogat sisters that they are lucky as their father has high hopes out of them. He looks their future not as dependents to someone but rather as achievers who are doing something great.

The preparation to become a champion
starts quite early at home.

That particular thought and hope from their father fuels them with the power to move on the tough and challenging path to bag to represent the country in the world of wrestling and grab the ultimate gold medal positions.

We need to make your girls believe they are the hope

Be it PV Sindhu, Saina Nehwal, Sania Mirza or even Sachin Tendulkar it is the vision of someone from the family or the guardian to inject the dream into the child’s dream canvas.

When you are not foreseeing yourself of worthy of achieving anything you don’t put any effort and you ruin your life doing non rewarding things. I hold a gratitude to all the parents specially Phogat parents who instill the hope in their girls and supported them in all the circumstances.

Great success demands great determination, discipline and hardwork. When you are supported by the parents it is the greatest blessing you could ever ask for. And if you are aligned towards it, you start enjoying it and success is bound to come your way. This blessing worked well for Phogat sisters. It is my sincere hope that more and more girls get this blessing in our country when it needs it most.

Though we can’t decide our child’s future completely and on the same time we can’t burden them with our own aspirations. But analysing their capabilities we can definitely pass a dream to them. We can teach them that their life is not about what happens to them but what they choose to become. They should do it wholeheartedly with conviction. It’ll no more be a dream rather a plan.

May Your Heart Be Brave, Mind be Fierce & Spirit be Free.

Gone are the days when women have been trained to speak softly and carry a lipstick. Beauty lies in becoming wise, knowledgeable and strong. Nothing can dim the light that shines from within.

Indian females in sports

There have been a few notable women in Indian sports in the past. We will always remember PT Usha for her contribution to bring India on the world map of sports. Until recently, however, such stars have been few and far between. Social factors have contributed to this especially with many constraints on women entering sports.

It is only today with women like Phogat sisters, Mary Kom, Sania Mirza, Mithali Raj, Saina Nehwal, PV Sindhu and many more coming into their own with great media coverage that women have been accepted as major sports stars and role models in their own right.

We can very well imagine today’s situation when it takes the launchpad of Bollywood movie for Geeta Phogat & Mary Kom to be get the nationwide acknowledgement in sport that many still consider unfeminine. India needs to go long way in terms of women’s sports and more encouragement and support is required in terms of funding and social barriers overall.

A lot of hue and cry is already there to empower the girl child but the truth is we have to put equal effort for the growth of our boys and girls to achieve the unimaginable heights.

It’s a day to celebrate the success of a Phogat family to make the country proud! Here are my little triplet daughters celebrating the moment. This one is for you Vinesh!
